![]() ![]() If the idea of searching for podcasts seems overwhelming, consider downloading the free Sero app from Serotek Corporation. This article will describe how to search for, subscribe to, and play podcasts. You need to know basic iOS navigation gestures including how to select items, enter text, and move around on the screen. I am not endorsing any particular podcasts in this article, but I do mention some of the ones I listen to. The Podcast section within the Sero app will also be described. In this article, three podcatchers will be discussed: Apple's app called Podcasts, Downcast, and iCatcher!. You will then have options to download or play them from the cloud. Podcatchers automatically search for new episodes of your chosen podcasts. In order to access podcasts, you will need to use a podcatcher on your iOS device. Chances are there is at least one podcast for any topic you can think of. There are thousands of podcasts available for download to your iOS device. Podcasts are downloadable (which makes them different from streamed Internet radio) and playable on your computer, mobile device, or media player. You can change the login/password at any time by long pressing on the podcast, then selecting ‘Custom Settings’ and finally ‘Edit podcast url’.Podcasts are audio files (some have accompanying video), usually available on an episodic schedule for a free or paid subscription. After validation the app will update the podast.You will have to check the ‘Authentication’ checkbox and enter your login / password. You will then be able to enter the podcast RSS feed url.If you’re running Podcast Addict v3.8 or later, press the main screen + button to add a new podcast.Player.FM does not support authentication at this point. It will ask for your username and password. Once in the individual podcast settings, go to “Authentication” and select HTTPS authentication. You can do this by opening the podcast and then the menu on the title bar. Then open the individual podcast settings of that podcast. Podcast Republic: Please subscribe the podcast first.We haven’t tested these (because we’re cool and have iPhones) but a few of our listeners have, so the following Android apps should work using the same format: Hit “Subscribe”, top right of the screen. Input your username and password below thatĦ. In the Feed field, paste the feed URL in your emailĥ.
